Try a class before you enroll
Two easy ways to experience KAD: email us to reserve a $15 trial class inside a real Academy class, or join us for a free Discover KAD Days community event.
Trial classes
Try an Academy class — $15
Want to make sure a class is the right fit before enrolling? Trial classes let students experience an age-appropriate Academy class, meet our instructors, explore the class format, and get a feel for our welcoming studio community before committing to a full session.
How trial classes work
- Trials are offered on the third Tuesday or Thursday of each eligible session, depending on the class location.
- Trial availability is based on class capacity.
- Advance registration is required to reserve a spot.
- Trials are $15 per class.
- Trial registration does not automatically enroll the student in the full session.
- After the trial, our team can help your family select the best class and complete enrollment.
How to sign up
Email register@kristisacademyofdance.com with your dancer's name, age, and the class and location you'd like to try, and our registration team will confirm your spot.

Discover KAD Days
Discover KAD Days are free, community-based events that give children an exciting introduction to dance, cheer, tumbling, creative movement, and other performing arts activities. Unlike a trial class, they are not part of a regular Academy session — they're special, weeklong events at participating community locations.
What to expect
- Free, weeklong community events featuring selected introductory classes.
- Dance, cheer, tumbling, creative movement, and other performing arts activities.
- May be offered at locations such as Bonner Springs and Wyandotte County Parks & Recreation facilities.
- Specific classes, ages, times, and locations vary by event.
- Advance registration is encouraged — space may be limited.
- Attending does not automatically enroll a student in an Academy session.
Fall 2026: October 25–31, 2026
Participating classes and community locations will be announced as they are confirmed. Because space may be limited, families are encouraged to register in advance for each class they would like to attend. Families who wish to continue may register separately for an available Academy class or upcoming session.
